KP CM grants provincial minister status to finance adviser Muzammil Aslam


PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister has granted the status of a provincial minister to Adviser on Finance Muzammil Aslam, according to an official notification issued on Saturday.

The notification stated that Muzammil Aslam will continue to perform his responsibilities as adviser on finance while enjoying the rank and privileges of a provincial minister.

The decision has been taken under Clause 9 of Article 130 of the Constitution, the statement said.

Authorities concerned have been directed to implement the notification accordingly.

Separately, the KP chief minister also spoke on the upcoming Pakistan Super League key matches at the Imran Khan Stadium, Peshawar, KP.

The chief minister at the opening of the PSL said that Pashtun people, known for their hospitality, will give the heartiest respect after they see domestic and international players in Peshawar.

Sohail said that cricket fans across Pakistan are witnessing the passion of the people, adding that the next match of the PSL will also be played in Imran Khan Stadium.

He appreciated the provincial support ministry, saying the stadium was completed due to day-in and day-out efforts made by the sports department.

He expressed hope that more development and public awareness will grow in KP and invited the public to come to the stadium to watch and enjoy the matches.
