PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government planned to construct 72 Chief Minister Model Schools during a meeting held here on Wednesday.

The decision came after a meeting chaired by the KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in Peshawar.

During the meeting, the chief minister was briefed on proposed plan and initial features of Chief Minister Model Schools.

After the meeting, the CM instructed to immediately start preparation of the legal framework to establish these institutions for the citizens.

These schools will include campuses for both boys and girls and will be established in all districts in the next financial year.

The schools will not only get trained teachers but will also provide world-class facilities to the students, the meeting decided.

These schools for which an amount of Rs9.5 billion was decided will gain separate rules and regulations, aimed developing the quality education in the province.
