WEB DESK: “Kung Fu Panda 4” returns to theaters after almost eight years, with the cuddly kung fu master Po encountering a fresh antagonist threatening the peace of his valley.
In the fourth installment of the franchise, Po progresses from being the Dragon Warrior to assuming the mantle of the “spiritual guide” of the valley, stepping into the shoes of his mentor Shifu. Our beloved panda does not get much time to enjoy his new role as he has to train the new Dragon Warrior.
He meets his match when he encounters a new antagonist, a chameleon with a penchant to steal kung fu powers of everyone, including our beloved Po.

Kung Fu Panda 4 is created by DreamWorks and distributed by Universal Pictures. The fourth movie in the franchise is co-directed by Mike Mitchell and Stephanie Ma Stine and written by a team of three writers: Glenn Berger, Jonathan Aibel and Darren Lemke.
The original cast returned to voice their characters. Jack Black returned to voice the titular panda with Dustin Hoffman, Bryan Cranston, James Hong and Ian McShane returning, as well. Meanwhile, Awkwafina and Viola Davis joined the cast to voice the new characters, Zhen and Chameleon respectively.
The movie made waves in India, shattering box office records and raking in an impressive earnings of INR 320 million, as officially verified by Universal Studios.

The movie also climbed the local box office to become the second highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2024 in India in just two weeks.
Internationally, Kung Fu Panda 4 secured its position as the fifth highest-grossing film of 2024, pulling in $283 million in box office revenue.
