Kuwait praises Pakistan’s diplomatic role in Iran-US mediation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone call with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah and reiterated Islamabad’s condemnation of attacks on Kuwait, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement posted on X.
During the conversation, Sharif expressed solidarity with the Kuwaiti people, offered condolences for those killed and prayed for the recovery of the injured, it said in a statement.
He also briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to help end the conflict in the Middle East.
The Crown Prince expressed appreciation for Sharif’s leadership and endorsed Pakistan’s efforts to mediate between the United States and Iran, the statement added.
He thanked Pakistan for its support during the current crisis and conveyed his desire to visit Pakistan once the situation improves.
Sharif thanked the Crown Prince and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
