Lahore finally gets rain

LAHORE: The intensity of heat has decreased in Lahore as the provincial capital received rain on Saturday. Rainfall was observed in areas including Abbot Road, Mall Road, Lawrence Road, Mason Road, and nearby areas.

According to the press release issued by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), “mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-windstorms/thundershowers are expected at isolated places in Kashmir, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and northeast/south Balochistan. Heavy falls are also likely to occur in a few places in south Balochistan. Light rain/drizzle is likely at isolated places in coastal areas of Sindh.”

Rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Kashmir, lower Sindh and northeast/south Balochistan. Hot and humid weather prevailed over other parts of the country.
