Lahore police arrest TikToker for displaying weapons


Canada mandated that TikTok halt its operations in the country, citing its national security concerns linked to the platform and its parent company, ByteDance.


LAHORE: The Lahore police apprehended a TikToker on Thursday for exhibiting weapons on the platform. Shahzaib, the TikToker, was taken into custody during a police operation at Firdous Market Chowk.

Superintendent of police (SP) Model Town, Ahmed Zunair Cheema, revealed that Shahzaib had shared a video featuring weapons on social media. Upon his arrest, law enforcement recovered a pistol and ammunition from him.

Cheema emphasized that the act of showcasing and owning weapons on social media is explicitly banned. He commended the efforts of Incharge Kamran Work and the police team involved in the operation.
