Lahore finally sees sunshine

LAHORE: Following a refreshing rain spell, the city enjoyed glorious sunshine on Friday, a welcome relief after enduring months of smog and fog.
The cold also eased up a bit after the rain, with the bright morning sunshine in Lahore.
According to the Meteorological Department, the city experienced a minimum temperature of eight degrees Celsius today, while the maximum is expected to reach nineteen degrees Celsius during the daytime.

Humidity levels currently stand at a high ninety-eight percent in the atmosphere.
In positive news, there has been a reduction in the city’s air pollution levels. Despite being ranked eighteenth among the most polluted cities globally, Lahore saw an improvement in its air quality index (AQI).
The overall AQI was recorded at 113, with the highest pollution levels observed on Mall Road at 166 AQI, and Gulberg area at 164 AQI.
RAIN TURNS KARACHI WEATHER PLEASANT
Light rain turned weather pleasant in Karachi on Friday as the Pakistan Meteorologist Department predicted more downpours in Sindh throughout the day.
Rain was reported in MA Jinnah Road, Gurumandir, Lasbella, I I Chundrigardh Road, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Saddar, Mehmoodabad, Defence, PECHS, and Stadium Road.
As per the prediction, the weather will remain cold and partly cloudy in most of the districts of the province. However, strong winds and thundershowers are likely to occur in Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu, Mirpurkhas, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jacobabad and Kashmore.
Moreover, the PMD forecasted a chance of rain with strong winds and thunder and snowfall over mountains in Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Heavy rain is also expected a few places in Balochistan and fog will prevail in the plain areas of Punjab.
