Over 20 new smart police stations to be established in Lahore

LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi has issued directives for the dedicated allocation of land for the establishment of smart police stations.
In a specially convened meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, it was revealed that the construction of 40 smart police stations is scheduled to be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
The inaugural phase of this initiative will witness the setup of 23 smart police stations in Lahore, with an additional 17 strategically located in various districts.
Chief Minister Naqvi, in enforcing a stringent deadline for the smart police station project, underscored the phased conversion of conventional police stations into technologically advanced ones across the province.
The meeting conducted a comprehensive review of the construction, repair, and rehabilitation initiatives, encompassing a total of 737 police stations.
A detailed examination of the progress on the smart police station project and an evaluation of the integrated facilities were central to the briefing.

Mohsin Naqvi directed the swift allocation of land to every landless police station in the province, emphasising the expeditious completion of the land transfer process.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed a project involving the construction of 313 houses for police officers and employees.
Notable attendees included Inspector General Police, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Additional IG, Secretary Home, Secretary Communication and Works, CCPO, CTO, SSP Admin, and other key police officials.
