LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has formally launched an Online Learner’s Driving Licence App, streamlining the licencing process in the province.

Residents can now submit their applications at patrol posts, Khidmat Markaz, and police headquarters, through the newly introduced mobile application named ‘Online Learner Web App.’

Commending the efforts of IG and PITB officials, the Chief Minister emphasized that the licencing facility would also be accessible at patrol posts, service centers, and police stations.

Speaking on this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said: “Now citizens will be able to get a learning driving licence sitting at home through the learner’s driving licence app”.

Learner’s driving licence services will be available at the front desk of police stations, he added.

The recently introduced internet-based system offers a user-friendly interface, allowing residents to apply for licences from the convenience of their homes, eliminating the need for long queues. This upgrade aims to be more efficient and user-friendly compared to the previous 2003 system.

Starting Monday, the Punjab government will facilitate the online renewal of regular driving licences, duplicate licenses, and international licences through the Punjab police application, extending the service to residents across the province.

This initiative signifies a significant move toward easing the process of obtaining driving licences. The new system is expected to save time, reduce hassles for applicants, and contribute to improving road safety throughout the province.
