LinkedIn down amid global social media platforms disruptions

WEB DESK: Professional networking platform LinkedIn encountered a notable service disruption in the early hours of Thursday, causing frustration among users worldwide.
According to reports, more than 48,000 users have lodged complaints about the shutdown.
The outage caused difficulties for users attempting to access LinkedIn’s services. In response to the disruption, LinkedIn management has acknowledged the problems with service delivery and assured users that efforts are underway to resolve the issue.

Earlier, in a similar global disruption, users worldwide faced challenges accessing Facebook and Instagram. Many individuals reported unexpected logouts from their accounts, attributing the issues to technical glitches rather than deliberate restrictions.
During this outage, Meta’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg, incurred a substantial financial setback, losing nearly $3 billion within the span of an hour.
According to reports, Zuckerberg’s net worth experienced a sharp decline of more than $2 billion due to the global shutdown. This sudden decline brought Zuckerberg’s total net worth down to $176 billion in just a single day.
