ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Wednesday announced a reduction in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), cutting the consumer price by Rs37.80 for an 11.8kg cylinder effective May 1, 2025.
According to the latest notification, the new consumer price of LPG has been fixed at Rs2,892.91 per 11.8kg cylinder, down from Rs2,930.71 in April.
Similarly, the price per tonne has also been reduced from Rs248,365.14 to Rs245,161.82 — a decline of Rs3,203.32.

OGRA attributed the reduction to a 1.8% drop in the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP), which forms the basis for local LPG pricing, despite a slight 0.22% rise in the average dollar exchange rate.
The combined effect resulted in a net 1.28% decrease in LPG consumer prices, or Rs3.20 per kilogram.
