What is a lunar eclipse?
As per information provided by NASA, a lunar eclipse transpires when the Sun, Earth, and Moon come into alignment, causing the Moon to move into the shadow of the Earth.
What will the last lunar eclipse of 2023 look like?
The lunar eclipse on October 28-29, 2023, will mostly be a penumbral eclipse, which means that as the eclipse unfolds, you will observe a faint shadow on the moon caused by Earth’s penumbral shadow. Subsequently, there will be a minimal, barely noticeable portion of the moon that appears darker due to Earth’s umbral shadow taking a small “bite” from one edge of the moon.
