Major change in Indian cricket board ahead of final match against Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A significant change has taken place in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) just before the much-anticipated final clash of the Asia Cup 2025 between Shaheens and men in blue.
Indian media reported that a new president and vice president have been elected for the BCCI.
This announcement of new leadership comes at a time when Pakistan and India are set to clash in the historic Asia Cup 2025 final being held in Dubai today. This is the first time in the 41-year history of the Asia Cup that the two traditional rivals are facing off in the final, sending cricket fans’ excitement to new heights.
Reports said Delhi Capitals Captain Mithun Manhas elected as president while Rajeev Shukla as vice president of the board, with Devajit Saikia and A Raghuram as secretary and treasurer respectively.
Mithun Manhas took over the position following the resignation of Roger Binny, who served as BCCI President last year.

Manhas, who is 45-year-old, has played 157 first-class matches and is associated with the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association. Meanwhile, his victory has been welcomed with joy by the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Cricket analysts view Mithun Manhas as a young and dynamic leader who could bring new energy and vision to Indian cricket.
