Manchester City vs Arsenal has taken centre stage in the Premier League title race after City edged past Leeds United 1-0 to move within two points of the leaders.
With both sides having played 28 matches, City’s victory keeps the pressure firmly on Arsenal vs the chasing pack, as the league leaders prepare for a crucial test against Chelsea.
Even without injured striker Erling Haaland, City found a way through. Antoine Semenyo scored the only goal in first-half stoppage time, finishing from close range after being set up by Rayan Ait-Nouri.
Leeds vs City began with the hosts on the front foot, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin missed two good chances to give his side the lead. However, City gradually took control of possession and made their dominance count just before halftime.
In the second half, Leeds vs City remained competitive, with the home side pushing for an equaliser. Matheus Nunes made a key defensive intervention, while Marc Guehi nearly extended City’s lead, only to be denied by Karl Darlow.
Late pressure in Leeds vs City saw Jaka Bijol head narrowly wide, but City held on for a vital win.
