Man United vs Aston Villa: Cunha, Casemiro, and Sesko secure 3-1 win

MANCHESTER: Manchester United vs Aston Villa ended in a 3-1 victory for the hosts as the Red Devils tightened their grip on third place in the Premier League.

Matheus Cunha struck in the 71st minute after a precise through ball from Bruno Fernandes, marking the Portuguese playmaker’s 16th Premier League assist of the season, a new club record. Casemiro had earlier put United ahead with a glancing header from a Fernandes corner in the 53rd minute.

Ross Barkley briefly levelled for Villa in the 64th minute, but substitute Benjamin Sesko sealed the win 10 minutes from time with a blistering strike from the centre of the box. Fernandes’ assist for Cunha also marked his 100th for Manchester United across all competitions.

The win moves United to 54 points from 30 games, three ahead of fourth-placed Aston Villa, who remain on 51 points.
