SKARDU: Four members of a family, including two young girls, were found murdered inside their home in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday, prompting a police investigation and a search for the suspects.

According to local police, unidentified assailants entered a house behind Madina Colony and killed a man, his wife and their two daughters. The girls were aged one and five, respectively.

The deceased man was reportedly from Talo Broq, while his wife belonged to Parachinar, police said.

The killings spread fear and panic in the neighbourhood, with a heavy police contingent arriving at the scene to collect evidence and begin an investigation.
