LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz has vehemently refuted speculations suggesting party’s supremeo leader Nawaz Sharif’s withdrawal from politics.
Addressing concerns over Nawaz Sharif’s purported departure from the political arena, Maryam Nawaz underscored his unwavering commitment to assuming a leadership role within the party.
In a statement shared on social media platform ‘X’, Maryam Nawaz clarified misconceptions surrounding Nawaz Sharif’s decision not to pursue the post of Prime Minister, emphasizing that it did not signify a retreat from politics.
She affirmed that Nawaz Sharif remains resolute in his dedication to robustly engage in political activities over the next five years, while also pledging to support PML-N governments at both the federal and provincial levels.
Reflecting on Nawaz Sharif’s past tenures as Prime Minister, Maryam Nawaz highlighted his track record of securing clear electoral mandates and reiterated his commitment to eschewing coalition governments.
She emphasized Nawaz Sharif’s principled stance, familiar to those loyal to his leadership, and affirmed her and Shahbaz Sharif’s unwavering allegiance to Nawaz Sharif’s directives.
Maryam Nawaz concluded her statement with a prayer for success, expressing her and Shahbaz Sharif’s readiness to work under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership and guidance.
