Maryam Nawaz promises to launch five IT cities in five years


LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) nominee for Punjab chief minister, Maryam Nawaz, pledged on Wednesday to establish five IT cities within her five-year tenure as CM.

Maryam Nawaz has outlined several initiatives for Punjab, including providing interest-free loans to the youth and commencing IT projects. She promised to improve fundamental healthcare units, rural health centres, and dispensaries while ensuring the provision of necessary equipment.

Maryam Nawaz pledged to redesign the health care and work towards providing free treatment and medication in hospitals. She asserted that similar facilities would be provided to the underprivileged in both government and private hospitals where the elite receive treatment. Maryam Nawaz indicated the need to introduce an air ambulance service in Punjab.

The PML-N leader also expressed her desire to dedicate the honour of becoming the “first woman CM” to every mother, daughter, and sister of the country.
