Maryam Nawaz reveals route, fares for Murree Glass Train

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has shared details of the Murre Glass Train project on social media, providing information about its route, stations and fares.

According to the details shared on Maryam Nawaz’s Facebook account, the glass train will run from Lake View Park in Islamabad to Murree Bus Stop.

Stations will be constructed at Lake View Park Islamabad, Chattar Park, Ghoda Gali and near Muree Bus Stop.

Two fare categories have been introduced: a “standard ticket” for Rs500 and a “premium ticket for Rs1,000. The Murree Glass Train will cover the journey from Islamabad to Murree in just 40 minutes.

The trains will be electric and environmentally friendly. No information has yet been provided about the exact start date of the service.

Citizens believe that the glass train will further boost tourism in Murree, benefiting local businesses, hotels and restaurants.

Tourists will also get a closer view of breathtaking hilly landscapes, forests, and seasonal scenery along the route, making it a unique experience.

The introduction of the train is expected to reduce traffic congestion on Murree’s roads, especially during peak tourist days.

People are calling it an eco-friendly initiative, as reliance on vehicles will decrease, helping reduce pollution.
