Matric exams 2024 in Punjab not to be postponed

LAHORE: The Punjab Education Board has firmly rejected the plea for postponing SSC (matric) exams 2024 and affirmed that the examinations will proceed as planned.

Despite requests from various private educational institutions to defer the SSC exams until April, the board remains steadfast in maintaining the original schedule.

In response to the demand, the board unequivocally stated that there will be no alterations to the schedule, emphasizing that the exams are slated to commence on March 1, 2024, as per the established timetable.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has officially declared that the Punjab Matric Exams for 2024 are set to commence on March 1 and has already released a tentative date sheet in this regard.

Board authorities underscored the interconnected nature of exam schedules, noting that any changes to the SSC exam dates would subsequently impact the schedules of intermediate and graduate-level papers.

Students are advised to prepare accordingly for the upcoming matriculation exams.

SSC EXAMS IN KP POSTPONED TILL APRIL

The annual SSC (9th and 10th grade) exams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, originally slated for March 14, have been postponed to April 18, 2024.

This decision follows requests from concerned students and parents who raised apprehensions about the exams coinciding with the holy month of Ramazan, typically observed in March or April.

The Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar emphasized the significance of taking Ramazan into account and showing respect for the sentiments of the community, following appeals from students and parents.
