Met Office issues weather forecast for next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the weather will remain dry and cold across the country during the next 24 hours.

The PMD said that the weather was extremely cold in the northern areas and northern Balochistan, where the mercury dropped below zero. The lowest temperature was recorded in Leh at minus 10°C, followed by Skardu at minus 9°C, Gilgit and Gopis at minus 5°C, Kalam and Astor at minus 4°C, and Hunza at minus 3°C.

The PMD also said that the weather would be partly cloudy in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while fog and smog would prevail in most parts of Punjab and upper Sindh.
