Mild intensity quake jolts Mastung district

QUETTA: The Mastung district of Balochistan experienced a mild intensity earthquake on Friday morning with a recorded magnitude of 3.9, according to the national seismic monitoring centre.

The tremors, which occurred at a depth of 18 km, created panic amongst the residents who came out of their homes into open spaces.

The epicenter of the earthquake was identified as being 32 km west of Mastung.

Despite the initial fear and panic, there have been no reports of injuries or damage to any property.
