Security forces conducted a series of intelligence-based operations across multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on March 6 and 7, resulting in the elimination of 13 Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.
In Bajaur, a Khawarij hideout was effectively targeted, killing five militants. Three more operatives of the Indian-sponsored Fitna-ul-Khawarij were neutralised in separate operations in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan, while five additional militants were killed during operations in Khyber District and South Waziristan. Arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain operatives, who were involved in multiple acts of terrorism.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security forces for their professionalism and dedication. “Security forces have once again foiled the nefarious intentions of Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said. “I salute the security forces for their successful operations against terrorists. Fitna-ul-Khawarij terrorists will not be allowed to hide anywhere.”
Naqvi also commended the determination of the forces to restore peace in the region. “Security forces are committed to establishing peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa despite challenges posed by the border with Afghanistan,” he added.
The ISPR reiterated that security operations will continue to defend the country’s borders and neutralize threats, highlighting the ongoing resolve of the armed forces in combating terrorism.
