Minar-e-Pakistan case: TikToker Ayesha ‘pardons’ all accused

LAHORE: TikToker Ayesha Akram on Monday decided to pardon all accused people in the Minar-e-Pakistan harassment case.

In a statement recorded in Lahore Sessions Court on Monday Akram said that she will not pursue the case against the accused involved in assaulting her at Greater Iqbal Park in Lahore on August 14, 2021.

The incident sparked widespread national outrage following the circulation of viral videos depicting the attack on social media.

“I have forgiven all the accused for the sake of Allah and His Messenger’s approval. I have no objection to the acquittal of the accused. I am freely and voluntarily recording my statement without any fear,” said Ayesha.
