LAHORE: Former Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez voiced his displeasure with Etihad Airways, accusing the airline of providing “poor service with zero customer care” on Saturday.

In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Hafeez voiced his frustration, stating that during his recent journey from New York to Lahore on Thursday, he discovered that his suitcase had been damaged and several valuable items were missing.

The former all-rounder claimed that despite lodging a detailed complaint with the Etihad Airways, he has yet to receive a response. He also stated that the customer service contact number provided was inactive.

Mohammad Hafeez’s post garnered attention from his followers and the wider public.

Meanwhile, Etihad Airways has yet to provide a response to Mohammad Hafeez’s statements.

Mohammad Hafeez debuted as part of Pakistan cricket team in 2003. Throughout his career, he excelled both, as a right-handed batter and off-spin bowler.

As a batter, he is known for his aggressive batting style, having scored two centuries in the test format and three centuries in the One Day Internationals (ODIs) format. He has also scored two half-centuries in the sport’s shortest format.

Meanwhile, in the bowling department, Mohammad Hafeez clinched 30 wickets in ODIs in a single year, a feat shared with South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis.

The all-rounder has also been recognized with ten player-of-the-match awards in international cricket.

Despite his impressive performance, Hafeez’s entire professional career has been marred by controversy, having faced three suspensions for illegal bowling actions.
