If the moon is sighted today, Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on September 16, Monday. It will be a public holiday across Pakistan as announced by the government, in line with the 2024 public holiday schedule, according to the Federal Cabinet Secretariat Division.

Will students have a long weekend due to the Eid Milad-un-Nabi public holiday?

If Eid Milad-un-Nabi is observed on Monday, September 16, students and workers in various professions will benefit from an extended break, as most educational institutions in Punjab and Sindh are already closed on Saturday and Sunday.

If the moon is not sighted today, Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on September 17, Tuesday. This means there will be no long weekend for students.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated with great religious fervour across Pakistan. On this occasion, various events are held where scholars urge people to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to achieve success in both this world and the hereafter.
