ISLAMABAD: Capital City authorities have issued a traffic advisory as development work on the underpass at Margalla Enclave on Park Road begins today, which is expected to cause traffic congestion in the area.
According to traffic police, citizens traveling on Park Road have been advised to follow the designated diversion plan to avoid inconvenience. Traffic moving from Rawal Dam Chowk towards Taramri will be diverted back to Park Road via NIH Road through Mohra Noor.
Similarly, vehicles traveling from Taramri towards Rawal Dam Chowk will be able to rejoin Park Road through alternative routes, including Chai Khana, CDA Nursery, Iron Grill, and two temporary roads constructed for traffic flow.
Authorities have also advised commuters heading towards Islamabad to use alternative routes such as Lehtrar Road, Khanna Pul, and the Islamabad Expressway to reduce congestion on Park Road.
Traffic officials warned that traffic on Park Road is likely to remain heavy during the construction period. Citizens are advised to plan their journeys with an additional travel time of 20 to 30 minutes.
