Mother of three allegedly raped in Pindi; accused film obscene video

RAWALPINDI: A mother of three children was allegedly raped by two persons on Double Road in the New Town Police Station jurisdiction under the pretext of getting her a job.
The accused also filmed an obscene video of the victim during the rape.
When the victim reached the New Town Police Station to register a complaint, the police allegedly pressured her to reconcile with the rapists.
Later, on a notice of CPO Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani, a case was registered against the accused.
According to the police FIR, the woman, a resident of Islamabad, said that she was living with her parents along with her three children after she separated from her husband.

According to the victim, while working in a call centre, she met a woman named, Faree, who, promised to get her a better job.
She said that Faree called her to meet her on Double Road, and when she reached there, she along with two persons allegedly kidnapped her at gunpoint and later raped her at an unknown location. The accused also filmed an obscene video of the assult, she said.
In a video statement, the woman accused the New Town police of harassment saying police personnel made her sit at the police station and pressured her into reconciliation by saying that “she would have to go around the police station and spend money in litigations”.
In the video statement, the victim also appealed to the Punjab chief minister to provide her justice.
Meanwhile, SHO New Town Anwarul Haque was contacted to get the police version regarding the incident and the harassment of the woman at the police station. However, the SHO did not reply to phone calls and messages.
A police spokesperson said that after the registration of the case, the victim did not contact the police station again. He denied the harassment allegation by the victim at the police station.
