Peshawar motorway m-1 closed due to fog

PESHAWAR: The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has temporarily closed Peshawar Motorway M1, running from Peshawar to Burhan due to dense fog.

Similarly, the Swat Expressway, spanning from Colonel Sher Khan to Chakdara, is also closed for traffic.

According to the Friday weather forecast from the National Weather Forecasting Center in Islamabad, most parts of the country are expected to experience cold and dry conditions, with the northern areas facing particularly severe cold.

Severe fog/smog is anticipated in the plains of Punjab, upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad.

In many districts of Balochistan, and in Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather will remain cloudy with the potential for rain/snowfall in the mountains.
