Motorway Police recover return lost cell phone, wallet to owner

ISLAMABAD: On Monday, the Motorway Police demonstrated their commitment to service by successfully recovering and returning a lost cell phone and wallet to a citizen.

The incident occurred when a traveller, en route from Islamabad to Mardan, realised he had lost his wallet and cell phone at the Rashkai service area. Promptly, he reported the loss to the Motorway Police at Rashkai Interchange.

Responding swiftly, the Motorway Police utilized CCTV footage to locate and retrieve the lost valuables. The recovered items included a cell phone valued at Rs15,000, a wallet containing Rs6,800 in cash, as well as the individual’s CNIC and other essential documents.

The owner expressed his appreciation for the Motorway Police’s punctuality and honesty in resolving the matter.

Separately, Pakistan Customs has successfully foiled a daring attempt to smuggle mobile phones worth millions at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

The vigilant customs officials stationed at the international arrival gate meticulously inspected passengers arriving from foreign countries.

During their thorough surveillance, they carefully examined the luggage of three travellers and discovered a concealed cache of 51 mobile phones valued at Rs27.6 million
