MQM-P leader Kunwar Naveed Jameel passes away

KARACHI:  Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan’s Deputy Convenor Kunwar Naveed Jameel on Thursday passed away following an extended period of illness.

The news of his passing was verified by the party’s Convenor, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.

The funeral service for the MQM leader is scheduled to take place tomorrow, following the Friday prayers, at the Defense Phase I Masjid Mustafa.

Kunwar Naveed Jameel held the position of a Sindh Provincial Assembly member. Prior to this, he also served as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from April 2015 to May 2018.

The caretaker Federal Minister for Information, Murtaza Solangi has conveyed his deepest condolences and heartfelt sorrow regarding the passing of Jameel. He offered his sympathies and support to the grieving family during this difficult time.
