Multan police finalise security plan for Youm-e-Ali

MULTAN: The District Police in Multan have finalized security arrangements for Youm-e-Ali (a.s) on the 21st of Ramadan to ensure law and order in the city.

City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar stated that 12 mourning processions and 15 Majalis, including two of Category A, are scheduled in the city. Of these, two processions are deemed sensitive. Over 1850 police officials will be deployed for security duties to ensure comprehensive arrangements.

Special police reserves will be on standby for any emergencies, and CCTV cameras will be installed along procession routes and at Majalis venues. A control centre has been established at the police line to oversee security measures.

Furthermore, drone cameras will be employed at sensitive processions and Majalis. The CPO will personally monitor security measures, with divisional Superintendents of Police (SP) assigned as security in-charges.

CPO Sadiq Ali Dogar urged the public to assist law enforcement by reporting any suspicious individuals or activities.
