Multan Sultans become the first PSL franchise with a female general manager

MULTAN: Multan Sultans has made history by becoming the first T20 franchise in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to have a female general manager. Journalist Hijab Zahid will take over from the departing Haider Azhar.

“We are delighted to introduce a significant milestone in the world of cricket management. We proudly announce Ms Hijab Zahid (@hijaaaaab) as the newly appointed General Manager of Multan Sultans, marking a historic moment as the first female General Manager in the history of any Pakistan Super League franchise,” the tweet from  Multan Sultan’s official Twitter account read.

Presently serving as the director of Grassroots Cricket, a role she undertook earlier this year, Zahid hold a master’s degree in Project Management from the University of Hertfordshire to her new position. Prior to this, she has contributed as a media manager for Islamabad United.
