Muzammil Paracha, buyer of most expensive number plate dies

KARACHI: Muzzammil Kareem Paracha, an industrialist, who bought Pakistan’s most expensive and rare vehicle number plate for Rs100 million just a year ago, passed away after battling cancer.

In June 2024, Paracha purchased the most expensive and unique plate — bearing the number “A-1” — from a special series put up for sale by the Sindh government.

His photos and videos had gone viral at the time, drawing widespread attention on social media for his lavish purchase.

Following the news of his death, social media users expressed their condolences and prayed for his forgiveness, with many remarking that “not even wealth can save one from death.”

According to local media reports and social media pages, Paracha had been undergoing treatment for cancer in Dubai, where he succumbed to the illness.

Muzzammil Paracha, who owned multiple businesses and assets worth millions, also had a known passion for rare and luxury vehicles.

He reportedly possessed several high-end cars and had collected multiple special and unique number plates over the years.
