NAB team reaches Adiala jail to arrest Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team has reached Adiala iail Rawalpindi to arrest former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in connection with the Toshakhana and £190 million scandal case.
The NAB team led by NAB Assistant Directors Asif and Waqarul Hassan has reached the jail to formally arrest the PTI chief.
The NAB team reached the Adiala jail after an accountability court in Islamabad issued arrest warrnats for Imran Khan.
The court had also ordered the Superintendent of Adiala Jail to comply with the arrest warrants.
Sources said tha the NAB team will question Imran Khan in connection with the Toshakhana and the National Crime Agency’s £190 million cases.
The NAB teamis present at Adiala jail, where Imran Khan is already incarcerated in the cipher case. Due to security concerns, his trial is being conducted within the confines of the prison.
The NAB team is expected to interrogate the PTI chairman regarding the 190 million pound case.

Earlier on Monday, the Accountability Court in Islamabad issued arrest warrants for Imran Khan in the Toshakhana and the National Crime Agency’s £190 million cases, following a petition filed by the NAB. Judge Muhammad Bashir directed the Adial jail superintendent to ensure the execution of the arrest warrants.
