Bumrah likely to miss Asia Cup 2025

Meanwhile, India’s preparations have taken a hit as their ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah may miss the tournament due to workload concerns.

According to Indian media reports, Bumrah has already played three Test matches against England and may be rested for the Asia Cup 2025 in the UAE to manage his workload.

Indian media also claimed that Bumrah’s growing preference for Test cricket and India’s upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies starting October 2 may also influence the decision.

There are indications Jasprit Bumrah could instead feature in the January T20 series against New Zealand, which is expected to serve as a dress rehearsal for the T20 World Cup.
