Narowal man shoots girl, father and brother over marriage refusal

NAROWAL: A man in Mohalla Siddiqpura of Narowal shot his lover, her father, and her brother for marrying her off to someone else.

A substantial police presence swiftly reached the location, though the man managed to evade capture.

The authorities transported the bodies of the deceased to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

According to the police, “Hamza had been involved in a relationship with Tehmina and had intentions of marrying her.”

“However, Tehmina’s parents arranged her marriage to another individual, a decision that triggered Hamza’s fury, leading him to fatally shoot Tehmina, her father, and her brother,” they elaborated. “Police checkpoints have been established throughout the district, and the apprehension of the suspect is anticipated soon,” officials added.

Separately, a man in Okara killed the husband of his former wife on Sunday by striking him in the head with a brick. The police have arrested the accused.

The incident occurred in the suburban village of Okara, where the former and current husbands of the woman engaged in a clash stemming from a personal dispute.
