Fast bowler Naseem Shah has been ruled out of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) for an indefinite period after sustaining an injury during a recent match.
The development was confirmed by his franchise Rawalpindi region franchise, which stated that the pacer suffered a side injury while playing against Karachi Kings.
According to the team management, the injury will keep Naseem Shah out of action for an unspecified duration. The franchise added that its medical staff is closely monitoring his recovery process and will oversee his rehabilitation.
“Naseem Shah sustained a side injury during the match against Karachi Kings and is now out for an indefinite period,” the team said in an official statement.
The management expressed hope that the young fast bowler could return later in the tournament, subject to successful rehabilitation and medical clearance.
“We remain optimistic that after completing his rehab and regaining full fitness, Naseem Shah may rejoin the squad in the latter stages of the PSL,” the statement added.
The franchise also reaffirmed its support for the player, emphasizing that the team stands firmly behind him during his recovery.
Naseem Shah’s absence is expected to be a significant setback for his side, given his key role in the bowling attack during the tournament.
