Nation observes Al-Quds Day, Juma-tul Widah today


Al-Quds day being observed in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Al-Quds Day and Juma-tul Widah will be observed across Pakistan on Friday, marking the last Friday of Ramazan and as a day of solidarity with the people of Palestine in their fight against the deadly Israeli onslaught occupation.

Special prayers will be offered for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and unity of Muslims during Friday prayers.

The religious scholars and Imams in their Jumma sermons will highlight importance of the month of fasting and the Jumma-tul-Wida.

This year Juma-tul-Wida has coincided with 27th of Ramadan which is being seen as an auspicious occasion.

After the Friday prayers, rallies and demonstrations will be in all major cities, including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, as part of the nationwide observence of Al-Quds day.

Authorities have implemented stringent security measures, with heavy police deployment and heightened vigilance.

KARACHI TRAFFIC PLAN

Religious organisations, including Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, will lead the Al-Quds Day rally, with a reception camp set up at Numaish Chowrangi to assist participants.

Authorities have issued a traffic plan for the rally, which will start from Numaish and move towards Tibet Centre after Juma prayers. Commuters are advised to avoid M.A. Jinnah Road and use alternate routes.

According to traffic police, vehicles coming from Teen Hatti or Lasbela can turn right from Guru Mandir towards Soldier Bazaar. Alternatively, motorists can turn left from Binnori Signal towards Jail Chowrangi and continue via Peoples Chowrangi.

No extension in March 31 deadline for Afghans to leave Pakistan

Traffic from Preedy Street Regal towards Tibet Centre will be diverted at Preedy Chowk and Saddar Dawakhana towards Peoples Chowrangi. Similarly, vehicles travelling from Fresco Chowk and Eidgah Chowk towards Tibet Centre will be rerouted via Jubilee Chowk.

Traffic from Agha Khan III Road will be directed left towards Anklesaria Hospital Road, while vehicles from Coast Guard will be diverted towards Soldier Bazaar or Nishtar Road.

Dawood Pota Road and Lucky Star traffic will be redirected towards Preedy Chowk. Additionally, traffic from Lucky Star will be turned right from Saddar Dawakhana towards Peoples Chowrangi. Motorists coming from Garden via Agha Khan III Road towards Coast Guard must follow alternative routes.

A designated route has also been assigned for traffic moving from Bahadur Yar Jang Road via Soldier Bazaar towards Guru Mandir.

LAHORE

In Lahore, the rally will be taken out from Mall Road after Juma prayers.

ISLAMABAD

In Islamabad, after Juma prayers, the rally will start from G-6/2 Imam Bargah Asna-e-Ashri and proceed to Fazl Haq Road, passing through various routes, including Aabpara.
