The javelin star said this emerging talent will make Pakistan proud on the international stage. He noted that with the improved conditions, a large number of athletes are taking part in the National Games.

Arshad Nadeem added that athletes who perform well in the National Games will be included in the national camp. With several events scheduled in Pakistan next year, these players will get more opportunities to shine.

He also said that he hopes to attempt a record throw if he stays fit, and emphasised that his goal is always to perform better than his previous record. Despite an injury earlier this year, he delivered his best and is now fully fit.

Arshad Nadeem opened the National Games by throwing the javelin, entering the field proudly waving Pakistan’s flag.
