Nationwide cold spell and dense fog advisory issued

WEB DESK: The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating predominantly cold and arid conditions across a majority of the country’s regions today.

In the northern territories of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is anticipated to remain cold, with skies expected to be partly cloudy.

The federal capital, Islamabad, along with the adjoining areas of Murree, the Galyat region, and their respective vicinities, is also projected to experience cold climatic conditions.

This cold spell extends to the provinces of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkkhwa, and Balochistan, where temperatures are forecast to remain low.

Specifically, within Khyber Pakhtunkkhwa, the districts of Peshawar, Mardan, and Swabi are expected to encounter similarly cold weather.

In Islamabad, reduced visibility due to dense fog has been reported in Sector I-9 and other sectors, adversely affecting traffic flow. Motorists are advised to exercise caution.
