Navy, Coast Guards seize USD215m drug consignment near Gwadar coast

WEB DESK: Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Coast Guards, in coordination with the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC), seized 1,500 kilograms of hashish and 500 kilograms of ice worth USD215 million during a joint intelligence-based counter-narcotics operation near Pishukan, close to the Gwadar coastline.

According to a statement from the Directorate General Public Relations (Navy) on APP, the consignment was being transported through the Arabian Sea to international destinations when it was intercepted.

The seized narcotics have been handed over to the Pakistan Coast Guards for further legal action.
