Nawaz Sharif hosts Belarus President Aleksandr in Murree

MURREE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif hosted a luncheon in honour of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Murree.
During the meeting, both leaders reminisced about their past visits to each other’s countries. President Lukashenko said, “I fondly remember my first visit to Murree in May 2015, and your visit to Belarus in August 2015. Meeting you again after so long is a great pleasure.”
The luncheon was attended by key government officials, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and others.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in agriculture, technology, industry, and the dairy sector. Lukashenko also praised the governments led by Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz and expressed interest in fostering mutual collaboration across various fields.
After the luncheon, Nawaz Sharif personally saw off the Belarusian president.
Earlier on Tuesday, Pakistan and Belarus signed a three-year “Roadmap for Comprehensive Cooperation” (2025-2027), aimed at enhancing economic ties. Government officials described the roadmap as a “key outcome” of Lukashenko’s visit.
Additionally, several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed in areas such as e-commerce, science and technology, accreditation, auditing, vocational education, healthcare, and halal trade.
Key agreements included:
A five-year cooperation agreement between JCS Bellakt and Nutrifood & Pharmaceuticals.
A supply agreement between JSC Minsk Motor Plant and Shahzad Trade Links for 2025.
A tire sales agreement between JSC Belshina and Shahzad Trade Links for the Pakistani market.
A veterinary drug supply contract between JSC BelVitunipharm and Mustafa Brothers.
A logistics cooperation MoU between RUE Beltamozh Service and the National Logistics Corporation.
A pharmaceutical MoU between RUE Belmedpreparaty and Bio Medical System for pharmacy registration and supply.
A metal supply contract between JSC Beltsvetmet and Raas International Trading for 2025.
An agricultural machinery MoU between JSC Tractor Works and Green Corporate Initiative.
