Nawaz to lead election campaign, narrative for PML-N

JEDDAH: While Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was announcing August 14 as the last day of the current federal government, leadership of his party was busy in chalking a roadmap for general elections under leadership of his elder brother and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo, Nawaz Sharif in Saudi Arabia, according to sources privy to the development.

The party’s narrative will highlight the development projects undertaken during the PML-N’s previous terms in office while also shedding light on the alleged conspiracy that led to the ouster of Nawaz Sharif, according to the sources.

In a bid to lure voters, PML-N aspires to bring forth details of alleged corruption that took place under the PTI chairman as well as his government’s role in the country’s inflation crisis, and the resultant causes behind the economic downturn, party insiders revealed.
