New curriculum approved for class 9 to 12

Islamabad: The fedel education ministry has approved the implementation of the new curriculum for class 9 to class 12.

Education Secretary Waseem Ajmal Chudhary said that the new curriculum will be implemented in educational inistitutions in the Federal Capital Territoty.

An official notification said that latest curriculum for class 9 and class 11 will be implemented in 2024, while the new syllabus for class 10 and class 12 will be implemented in 2025.

The revised syllabus covers subjects, including English, Urdu, Pakistan Studies, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, Islamiat and entrepreneurship.

The curriculum was previously finalised by the National Curriculum Council (NCC) led by NCC Director Dr Mariam Chughtai in early 2023, after taking input from provincial representatives.
