ISLAMABAD: The recently formed Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has released its schedule for the upcoming winter holidays.
According to an official announcement, the court will observe its winter recess from December 22, 2025, to January 4, 2026, with regular proceedings set to resume on January 5, 2026.
Despite the break, the notification clarified that the FCC’s administrative offices will remain open. The court will also continue to hear urgent matters and cases already fixed for hearing during this period.
The FCC was created under the 27th Constitutional Amendment, a move aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s judicial framework and safeguarding constitutional rights. The court’s primary role is to interpret the Constitution and adjudicate disputes arising from constitutional questions.

In a statement published on the court’s website, Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan described the establishment of the FCC as a significant step in the country’s constitutional evolution. He accentuated the court’s responsibility to uphold the rule of law and protect fundamental rights.
