New Zealand beat Pakistan by 5 wickets in warm-up match

HYDERABAD: In a warm-up match ahead of the ICC World Cup 23, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by an easy margin of 5 wickets, chasing down a target of 346 runs with ease.
The match took place in Hyderabad, India, where Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. The New Zealand national cricket team managed to score 345 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
Pakistan national cricket team’s innings was highlighted by an outstanding performance from Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 103 runs before retiring. Babar Azam contributed 80 runs, while Saud Shakeel played a crucial innings of 75 runs.
It’s worth noting that all 15 players in the Pakistan squad were available for the warm-up match.
New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, who recently recovered from a knee injury, chose to focus solely on batting in this match. However, he will also be fielding against South Africa in another warm-up match.
Pakistan set 346-run target for New Zealand
Pakistan is scheduled to play its first World Cup match against the Netherlands on October 6.
In another warm-up match played on Friday, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets. Sri Lanka had set a target of 264 runs, but Bangladesh chased it down comfortably in 42 overs.
Tanzid Hasan scored 84 runs, Liton Das contributed 61 runs, while Mahedi Hasan and Mosaddek Hossain scored 67 and 35 runs, respectively.
For Sri Lanka, Lahiru Kumara, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Hemantha took one wicket each.
