Newly-wed girl killed for ‘honour’ Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: A newly-wed girl was stabbed to death by her brother for honour here on Wednesday. The accused fled the scene.

According to details, the incident took place in the jurisdiction of Saddar police Station Gujranwala where the culprit killed 20-year-old Eiman with a sharp-edged weapon.

The deceased got married five days earlier and was not pleased with her wedding. The body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem and police after registering a case into the incident started raids to arrest the murderer of the sister.
