NFL draft and Brown trade talk made simple

NFL draft and Brown trade talk made simple

NEW YORK: The New York Giants are thinking about moving down from the No5 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to get more draft picks.

They have many good options at No5, including players like Caleb Downs, Jeremiyah Love, Carnell Tate, and Francis Mauigoa.

Because so many good players could be available, the Giants may trade down a few spots instead of picking early.

One possible idea is a trade with a team like the Kansas City Chiefs, who might want to move up to grab a top player. In return, the Giants would get extra picks in the first round.

In one example, if the Giants trade down to No9 and No29, they could still get strong players. At No9, they might pick safety Caleb Downs, who could start right away.

At No29, they could choose wide receiver Denzel Boston to help their offense alongside Malik Nabers.

At the same time, there is also drama in Philadelphia. Eagles star wide receiver A J Brown is being talked about in trade rumors after a tough season.

But trading him is complicated because of his big contract and salary cap issues.

The Eagles are also preparing for the future by adding other wide receivers and may even draft another one this year. Players like Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion, and Omar Cooper Jr are being considered.

Right now, both teams are thinking about big decisions, Giants about trading down in the draft, and Eagles about what to do with A J Brown.
