No chance of rain in Islamabad, says Met office

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has forecasted that there is no chance of rain in Islamabad.

The department also predicts that the dry winter conditions will intensify.

The residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are also facing chilly weather in the middle of December and temperature is expected to drop further in the coming days.

In its fresh advisory, predicting no chances of rain in Islamabad PMD said cold and dry weather will prevail in the capital as the mercury is expected to drop 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the day.

In their assessment, the probability of rains in January is low.

Meanwhile mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the upper part of the country as the mercury moved to minus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Balistan, and Kashmir.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold intensity to increase in the upper parts of the country. According to PMD, -1, -2, and -4 degrees Celsius minimum temperatures have been recorded in KP, Kashmir and GB, respectively.

FOG IN PUNJAB

As per the predictions, alongside the coldness, some parts of Sindh and Punjab will witness fog and smog early in the morning and late at night.

Additionally, the Meteorological Department anticipates an increase in fog across various areas of Punjab.

 Specifically, for Islamabad, the department has indicated the likelihood of fog in the morning

Islamabad five degree centigrade, Lahore ten, Karachi seventeen, Peshawar seven, Gilgit minus three, Murree six and Muzafarabad four degree centigrade.
